What is acupuncture and how does it work?

What can I expect from an Acupuncture treatment?

What can Acupuncture treat? It's not just for Pain.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Does Acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are very thin, not much bigger than a human hair. The needles are solid and flexible, not hollow and rigid like needles used to give medication or draw blood. Most people don't feel any pain when the needles are inserted. Sometimes you feel a quick pinch or sting. After the needles are inserted you may feel a "Qi" sensation which may feel like a tingling "energy" sensation, warmth, heaviness, or an achy sensation at the sight or along the channel. Most people find an Acupuncture treatment to be very pleasant and relaxing. Some people even fall asleep!
